50,000 BEDROOMS SOLD FOR €29 BY TRAVELODGE SINCE MARCH

Tuesday 28th April, 2009: Leading budget hotel group, Travelodge Ireland has announced that it has sold 50,000 rooms for €29 since March when it introduced 100,000 bedrooms for only €29 across its 11 hotels throughout Ireland in 2009.

As a direct result of the offer, Travelodge has also noticed an increase in bookings of multiple night stays across a number of Travelodge hotels, suggesting that many people view the offer as an opportunity to take a mini break and visit a number of cities around the country where Travelodge has hotels.

According to Seamus McGowan, “We are delighted with the response to our offer which seems to appeal to the growing number of Irish consumers crying out for value for money in Ireland. As we said when we announced the offer, with so much bad news around, it is important for Irish companies with international brands like Travelodge which are based on a tried and tested budget model to continue to offer real value to the market. The demand is there, so it is up to us to deliver”.

Rooms are available on www.travelodge.ie and on all major hotel booking websites. While rooms are available until the end of 2009, they must be booked by Sunday 31st May, 2009.
