TRAVELODGE TO OPEN DOORS TO ASSIST CHRISTMAS TRAVELLERS

300 rooms at Travelodge’s Dublin Airport Hotels for Christmas

Good news for those concerned about travelling to Dublin airport over Christmas to make flights out of Ireland and to other parts of the country for a well earned break. In response to the current snow-related delays at Dublin airport and recent inquiries from the travelling public, Travelodge Ireland has decided to open its two airport hotels during the Christmas period making up to 300 rooms available on Travelodge.ie for people travelling over the Christmas period.

Travelodge’s Dublin Airport North (Swords) and Dublin Airport South (Ballymun) hotels will remain open throughout Christmas to cater for people who are worried about missing flights out of Dublin airport. Rooms will be available from €39 per room, per night on Travelodge.ie..

Commenting on the decision, Seamus McGowan, Managing Director, Travelodge Ireland, said, “Christmas is such as busy time at Dublin airport and due to the adverse weather conditions we are experiencing currently, people are naturally concerned about making flights on time. Given the proximity of our Swords and Ballymun Travelodge hotels to Dublin Airport, it makes complete sense for us to keep these hotels open for Christmas when many travellers will need rooms. The fact that our rooms are the cheapest rooms available on the market and available on our website also means that staying overnight in one of our hotels makes good financial sense too.”

Travelodge’s three star hotels offer the perfect alternative to full service four and five star hotels.  Travelodge Hotels include free parking, WiFi access and complimentary tea and coffee as part of the room rate and all Travelodge hotel bedrooms are modern, spacious and comfortable and include flat screen TV’s, king size beds and comfy duvets.

Travelodge Ireland is the country’s leading budget hotel group and is launching its Biggest Sale Ever from Wednesday 29th December on Travelodge.ie. As part of the sale, visitors to the site will be able to purchase rooms from just €19 per room per night in any Travelodge Hotel in Ireland throughout 2011.

Travelodge Ireland has 11 hotels throughout Ireland, with four in Dublin (Rathmines, Ballymun, Swords and Castleknock), two in Limerick (Ennis Road and Castletroy) and one hotel in each of in Cork, Galway, Belfast, Waterford and Derry.
